Club Team Championship

Competitors must be neat in appearance and wear appropriate attire. No gym shorts, cutoffs, blue jeans, tee shirts, etc. Shorts must be Bermuda length. Use of cell phones is prohibited on course during competition. Important Note: Tamahka Trails GC is a spikeless facility and all competitors will be required to wear spikeless shoes.

Entries are open to any Member Club of the Louisiana Golf Asociation in good standing (2009 club and individual dues must be paid). Each team shall consist of six players (i.e., five club members and one of the club's professionals or six club members). All scores will be at scratch (no handicaps). Participants must be Louisiana residents (as of at least 90 days prior to the Championship). Entrants must be 18 years of age by April 18, 2009.

Entries close at 5 PM, Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Entries must be submitted via mail or delivery to LGA office. Entry fee must accompany application to be considered complete.

Entry fee is $750 per team; fee includes cart fee for practice round prior to the event and Championship rounds play on April 18-19. Entry fee will be refunded for team withdrawal if LGA office is notified, in writing, before the close of entries. No refunds for withdrawals after the close of entries. A $90 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.

Limited to the first 32 teams (one team per club unless field is not full by deadline date/club's second team spot may be reserved by forwarding entry fee to LGA office/entry priority based on date entry fee received). Saturday's play to consist of 3 Four-Ball teams per Club Team. Best 2 Four-Ball scores will count as Club's Team score. Sunday's play to consist of individual play. Best 4 individual scores will count as Club's Team score. Winner determined by low total of 2 Four-Ball and 4 individual scores for tournament.

Practice privileges are extended to participants in the Championship at Tamahka Trails GC on April 17. Cart fee paid by LGA.

Rotating Club Team Championship Trophy plus permanent crystal trophy for club and individual trophies for winning team. Top three teams will also receive gift certificates redeemable at Tamahka Trails GC.

Play will be governed by the 2008-09 USGA Rules of Golf and the current LGA Rules of Play Card. All questions will be settled by the LGA Rules Committee, whose decision will be final.
