Carter Plantation is in Springfield, just south of I-12 near Hammond.
From I-12, take the Albany/Springfield exit (exit 32) onto Hwy. 43 South. Go 2.7 miles to the end of Hwy. 43, then take left onto Hwy. 42. Follow Hwy. 42 into Springfield (1.1 miles). Go through stop light in Springfield, then 2 more blocks to Carter Cemetary Rd. (First Baptist Church on corner).
